Hej, I’m Aksel, a Norwegian expat living and blogging in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I started this blog partly as a way to reflect on life abroad and partly to share my thoughts on online gambling, a topic I’ve followed with great interest for many years. The goal is to combine personal stories from my expat journey with honest insights into the world of online casinos and gambling platforms, especially those operating across borders.
During a trip to Lisbon a few years back, I met a group of digital nomads and that sparked my own journey into full-time expat life. Copenhagen quickly became my base, but I often share stories from other places I’ve lived or visited, whether it’s Norway, Spain, Thailand, or the Netherlands.
Since moving, I’ve noticed all the little things that make living in Denmark both charming and sometimes confusing, from bike culture and supermarket habits to strange rental rules. So I decided to blog about it from a foreigner’s perspective. I also write about gambling platforms I’ve tried, what to watch out for, and where the best bonuses hide, always with a focus on fair play and personal experience.
Some things I love: card games, café-hopping, Scandinavian design, cold beer, writing, online casino strategy, beach towns, and train journeys, all of which find their way into my posts.
All photos on this site are taken by me unless otherwise credited. I shoot with my iPhone 13 or a Canon EOS M50, usually with a 15-45mm lens. Please don’t use any images without asking first, feel free to contact me, and remember to link back when sharing.
I hope you enjoy reading and feel free to leave a comment or share your own expat stories or gambling tips!

Please note: This blog is a hobby for me, and I don’t earn my living from it, nor did I start it for the purpose of making money. But blogging is a time-consuming hobby, and hosting, design, etc. cost money, too. So you will see a couple of ads and affiliate links on this page, and I will occasionally work with brands or write sponsored posts. You can see my principles for these cooperations here.
I hope you will be happy here. 🙂
