It’s Easter week, and even though Easter is very early this year, I’ve been aching for spring! And two weekends ago, we finally caught a glimpse of it – it’s not quite here yet, but the sunny days were a promise that spring isn’t too far away, and we just have to be patient a little bit longer.
The sunny days – cold as they were – brought all sorts of things for me: new levels of activeness, for once. After the slouch of the long, Danish winter, I finally felt like doing something again, like going to the gym, meeting friends for coffee, or just taking a walk outside, rather than just snuggle up under three to seven blankets on my couch every night. They also brought loads more inspiration for the blog. The urge to drink a glass of wine in the sun after work. The crazy idea to ask the boyfriend if we should make it a thing to take a 10 minute walk every night (I haven’t asked him yet – I’ll let you know how that goes…).
And finally, the sunny days have brought endless inspiration for updating my spring wardrobe! Blogs and magazines are filled with the new season’s “essentials” and “must haves”, so it’s hard to avoid, anyway. And don’t we all love browsing, dreaming, and wishing? Here are a couple of items that caught my eye:
- Long blue and white button-down shirt – Nümph here
- Black patent leather loafers – Kiomi here
- White dress with floral pattern – Ted Baker here
- Pale peach silk blouse – Selected Femme here
- Blush A-line skirt – mint & berry here
- Dress with palm pattern – Munthe here
Spring for me means floral and nautical patterns, pastels, light colors, and soft materials. We’ve snuggled up in knits and big coats for months, now it’s time to breathe and soak up the sun. Let’s kick those typical Scandinavian blacks and greys to the curb and make room for some fresh, bright colors!
I’m still on the hunt for a new everyday handbag, which ideally is roomy, but elegant, and both in style and timeless. Not an easy task!
